One day during our vacation in Duck we ventured out to Wanchese, an island south of Nags Head.  Josh has a friend there with a pool, as you can see, and he wanted to skate it.  Well, it needed cleaning and by the time that was finished it was just in time for a crazy storm to blow through.  We went inside where I was entertained by an adorable and boisterous 5-year-old.  Later we dined on the delicious kitchen-makings of her 9-year-old sister (her guide was a library Sesame Street cookbook, (this one I think).  On the menu:  pan-baked enchiladas, and for desert, apple crumb cake with vanilla ice cream.  It was delicious.

Our last day we ventured to the beach early to take pics of the birds and the critters, mostly crabs.  Of which Josh complained, "Too many pictures of crabs".  They were jittery and skittery--I was so pleased to catch them on camera, I couldn't help myself!
