Shop Update: Collected Life Vintage now at Seneca Cannery Antiques in Havre de Grace!

Ah, faithful readers... I last updated my vintage shop facebook page eight months ago.  Not exactly the most diligent social media upkeep.  Hopefully that should change: I'm excited to announce I now have a brick-and-mortar retail space at the Seneca Cannery Antiques mall in historic Havre de Grace, Maryland! It's on the second floor, to the left, in Booth 68.  You can't miss it:  we're the only primary vintage clothing and shoe space in the entire two floors of antiques, collectibles, and vintage knickknacks of the rehabbed cannery.  Come check us out sometime!

Italian wood and leather wedges.  Size 7-7.5

Pink satin heels with sequin detail.  Size 7

Embroidered black peasant dress.  Size Medium/Large

We are located at the intersection next to the Pabst Blue Ribbon Warehouse and across from the house painted like a castle that says "Toys," but is no longer a toy store.  =(

The shop!

I recommend visiting the Bomboy's Ice Cream shop in the summer, and their candy store year-round.

JoRetro is also a nice location for vintage wares.

Bahoukas is another vintage and antique spot.

The Collected Life Vintage is still on etsy, but with less selection.  Most of our stock is on the racks at the Cannery.
Please contact me with any questions.  The brick-and-mortar shop is open daily.

Mon-Sat:  10am to 4:30pm
Sun: 11am to 4:30pm

(The first floor is open until 5pm, but the second floor closes earlier)

20/20 by D. Seiden

20/20

Salt misty breeze
Velocity driven
Noses in mud
The challenge arisen

Molded so young
True colours unseen
Gelatinous tin
Suite nineteen

Clicked into position and shrouded in treason
The right thing to do for all the wrong reasons
Once was invincible now whipped and shattered
Filth-Fashion INC. in shards of glamour

The ruling by peers
Through snickers and sneers
This faction reaction
Intimidation and pheer

Lids half-slits
Lips zipped tight
Frozen stand-by
Consoled by the sight

Scorn the infidel a part the conspiracy
Part of the problem invenomated jealousy
Cured of the hype guided by truth
My second opinion to start with the youth

Treat the ill
Shield the glare
Arm in arm
In my care

Revived inhale
Life in line
Soothed exhale
Sparkle & shine

Look in my eyes
I'm not nearly done

Look in my eyes
It's ten till one

Look in my eyes
Our time has come .. ..

Catroulette plus bonus

You ever chatroulette?  These pics are from my one-time experiment going online into the abyss of chatroulette to shine the light of my cats unto the world.  They were well-received by at least one person.  Witness her joy below.  Bonus from another time:  pics of the cats in little hat costumes.

[On a less sketchy site, you can also catroulette and browse international kittens to adopt.]

you know this guy was looking for titties not kitties

I won't bore you with apologies for not keeping up.  If you want to see what else I've been working on please visit my other blog, The Modern Archivist.

I can tell you this:  2015 began poorly.  Death has been very near and dear this winter.  I welcome spring when spring arrives.

In more mundane news, we finally caved in as the latest arrivals to smartphone technology.  Early adopters we are not.  But all you Josh-fans can whet your lips with this emerging result:  more pictures of Mr. Wonderful himself and more pictures of our beautiful cats, and sometimes the three all together as illustrated above.

It's been cold; I've been in a bad mood.  I'm glad to have evidence I even left the house at all this season.  We've puttered around Philly, where I saw a vintage brass purse in a store that I had sold at the Punk Rock Flea Market in December.  The shopkeeper was the first customer I had that day; she has a good eye.  She bought it off me for a song and is selling it in her shop for eight times what she paid for.  I say good for her:  all this wheeling and dealing is a player's game - one I'm finding I cannot keep up with.  I'm trying to unload more stock this summer, so if you're in Philly on Sunday June 8th, come to the market!  I'll be there again (I'm looking at you, too, vintage storeowner)!

And, if you're ever in Bel Air and want Vietnamese food, I highly recommend the Saigon Pearl in the Festival shopping center.  It's good.  The sushi place around the corner, Fuji Sushi, is also a sure thing.

Not shown: I tried to use a clear screen guard for my phone face, but it made me nauseous!  I got sea-sickness from navigating my phone with it on.  Oh, captain!  I'm just not made for this modern world!
