Hope you've enjoyed yet another Ladew Garden post.  Spring has been gorgeous here (these photos are from mid-April).  I regret not photographing the daffodils a few weeks before.  If you haven't been, you've gotta make a day trip.  All May the Cafe is open daily and the sandwiches are beast.  If it happens to be a cool day, go for the hot turkey/cranberry/cheese panini.  The chicken salad is also a good choice.  If you want to get all historical and eat as Harvey Ladew did, go for 'The Harvey' -- a bacon and peanut butter sandwich on plain white.  Apparently he always took one when he went for a fox hunt.  So, when in Rome...

The rest of the season the Cafe is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, so bring a picnic!
