After an unsuccessful adventure to a grotte/cave near Grenoble, France(they would not allow visitors due to dangerous ice), we took an easy day to explore Le Lac, Lake Annecy and some of its quaint towns.
After a sweet jaunt to the local minerals/bijoux store (gemstones and jewelry) we visited a private castle/residence, went on a serious business hike up to the church of St. Germaine, and later to a junk shop outside of Talloires. The church had a neat little graveyard and prayer grotto, and as shown, a sweet skeleton key to the gift shop (closed). I did score a few tea cups at the junk bunker, and was tempted by apothecary bottles (they were too new), and some vintage hats, but I restrained myself.
Adventures in Chamonix and Torino, Italy coming up! What times!
