Beaches: Milford and Bethany

We're pretty stoked to be at the beach, can you tell?

Today was a mega thrift stop drive to the beach.  We hit three Goodwills and two Salvation Armies, with GW being hands down way cleaner and more inviting than the latter.  I wonder why that is?  The first poor SA had an aisle that smelt o' pee (I did NOT regret skipping that area), and both SAs had poorly lit areas seeming to forewarn shoppers not to 'go there'.  However, they had a better selection of vintage dresses, albeit overpriced.  Oh, well: you win some, you lose some.  (I also noticed the prices seemed to go up a notch as we approached the beach.  Hmrph.)

So we stopped in Milford and I fell in love with their water tower, as you can see.  All of the photos in Milford above were taken within, like, a two block radius.  The more I drive through Delaware towns, the more I love them.  There were some sweet Victorian buildings in both Smyrna and Milford.  I can't get enough of that old timey stuff.

We stopped by Bethany Beach just as the sun was going down.  They have landscaped into town lovingly with tulips: it looks so good!  Those parrot tulips, just like a shirt Josh found at the Salvation Army today, make my mouth water like Juicy Fruit!  =D
